CUET-PG is the entrance test for MSc admission to central and many state universities. If you want an MSc in Zoology or Life Sciences in 2027, this is the exam that matters.

When is CUET-PG 2027?

NTA's provisional exam calendar, reported in September 2026, places CUET-PG in March 2027. Registration has not opened yet. Last year it opened in December, so start preparing now and keep an eye on exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg.

Exam pattern

75 multiple-choice questions
90 minutes
300 marks: +4 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong one

Ninety minutes for 75 questions is just over a minute per question, so speed and accuracy both matter.

A 5-month plan (November to March)

Month 1 – November: Non-chordates and chordates. Make one-page charts for each phylum: body cavity, symmetry, excretion, respiration, examples.

Month 2 – December: Cell biology, genetics and molecular biology. These units are concept-heavy and also help for CSIR-NET later.

Month 3 – January: Physiology, biochemistry and developmental biology. Practise diagrams and pathways.

Month 4 – February: Ecology, evolution, animal behaviour and applied zoology. Then solve the 2022–2025 past papers, one shift every two days.

Month 5 – March: Full-length mocks under a 90-minute timer. Revise only your weak areas and your error notebook.

Three habits that make the difference

Solve real papers early. Our CUET-PG past papers page has six Zoology papers from 2022 to 2025: zoologystudenthub.com/cuet-pg-pyqs
Learn from explanations, not just answers. Try our free 10-question quizzes: zoologystudenthub.com/quizzes
Do not ignore negative marking. If you can rule out only one option, skip the question.
